« Voyage, » directed by Martin de Thurah, is DIVADIVIN’s first music video from the album « L’homme qui imitait la mer, » as part of the « Cadavre Exquis Cinema release.
Ben DIVADIVIN’s first album « L’homme qui imitait la mer » has been released as a « cinematic exquisite corpse » at CINEMA Flagey on the 11th January 2024.
A cadavre is a poem game teached by the surrealistic poets.
Ben Lacour is a film director and since his studies at Film school (IAD) he had this persistent desire to compose a « cinematic cadavre exquis ».
When it was time to release this album DIVADIVIN contacted directors, producers, cinematographers, and artists to propose making a video for one of the songs on the album with complete creative freedom… yet complete void of budget.
The game took shape with the enthusiasm of those invited, and « The man who imitated the sea – an exquisite corpse » is, therefore, a cinematic release of the album through the fortuitous encounter of all these videos created freely, without a brief, without a word, just inspired by this album.
Clips like verses, An album like a poem, An exquisite corpse.
THE SCREENING RELEASE TOOK PLACE at CINEMA FLAGEY in BRUSSELS on the 11th January 2024 and was followed by a LIVE SHOWCASE presenting the album.
